1. Viewing your Fuel Line of Credit

You can view your digital fuel card by navigating to the Factoring tab and opening the Banking menu. Scroll down to the section titled Fuel Line of Credit and tap open the card. From this menu you can check your available balance, see your next due date and make payments, view past transactions, and search for fuel stations to reserve fuel discounts. In the example below, we can see that we have $2,000 to use towards our fuel purchases.

2. Selecting your Fuel Line of Credit as your payment method in the TruckSmarter Fuel Network

When you begin your fuel reservation, you can change your payment method to the digital fuel card by tapping the Change button and selecting the Fuel Line of Credit payment method accordingly. When ready, click the Reserve fuel code button to receive a code. After fueling up at the pump, you will be able to review your fuel receipt. Continuing our example, we have spent $398 on fuel using our TruckSmarter Fuel Line of Credit.

3. Making a payment

Now that we have spent $398 of our $2,000 available dollars, our Fuel Line of credit's available balance has been decreased to $1,602. We can now make a payment using our TruckSmarter Checking Account to pay the outstanding amount. If necessary, you can tap the Add money button to transfer more funds into your account.

4. Payment complete

After entering in the payment amount ($398) and tapping Confirm payment, we can see that our fuel Line of Credit has returned to the maximum available balance of $2,000.

Using the Fuel Line of Credit at Additional Merchants

Your fuel line of credit can be used to "move" fuel purchases at Mudflap, Love's, and Pilot/Flying J from your TruckSmarter Checking Account to your fuel line of credit. Moving a fuel purchase allows you to use credit in areas that TruckSmarter might not have network locations. Remember for the best discounts and to avoid fees always check TruckSmarter's network first. Here is how to move a transaction:

Step 1: Use your TruckSmarter VISA debit card as the payment method on Mudflap or at any Love's or Pilot/Flying J location nationwide. 

Step 2: When the purchase posts to your TruckSmarter Checking Account, locate the transaction in the banking section of the app. If the transaction is eligible to be moved to credit you will see a yellow tag "Move to Credit".

Step 3: Click into the transaction and follow the 2 step prompt to move the purchase to your line of credit. Once confirmed your Checking account available balance will increase by the purchase amount, and your credit balance (amount due) will increase by the same amount plus a fee (if applicable).

Billing cycle

The billing cycle for the Fuel Line of credit is from Wednesday 8AM Eastern Time until the following Wednesday at 8AM Eastern Time. Payments for the billing cycle are due by 8PM Eastern Time on Wednesdays so you have at least a 12 hour buffer between the end of the billing cycle and your repayment being due. Be sure to submit your payments through the TruckSmarter mobile app to avoid any late fees. We may also charge the balance due every Wednesday at 8 pm ET from your payment method.

Minimum balance to book fuel

The minimum Fuel Line of Credit balance required to book fuel is $400 except for fuel stations that allow you to lower your gallon limit. To learn more about setting a gallon limit, please see the How to use Fuel article.

Note that the Fuel Line of credit provides the exact same fuel discount as your TruckSmarter Checking Account!

What are the fees associated with the Fuel Line of credit?

There are fees that are associated with the digital fuel card:

1. A monthly subscription fee of $8.00 for access to the Fuel Line of Credit and services. This fee is waived for the first month so you can try it before deciding if you are willing to pay. You will also not be charged a fee for months you didn't use the fuel line of credit.
   
   
2. A late payment fee of $75.00 if your balance remains unpaid at the end of a billing cycle.
3. Moving eligible transactions at other merchants to your fuel line of credit may incur a one-time fee that will be added to your credit balance. The fee will be shown to you prior to moving the transactions.

What can I use the Fuel Line of Credit funds for?

Available credit may be only used to make fuel purchases through the TruckSmarter Fuel program or on eligible transactions at qualified merchants. When using your line of credit in the TruckSmarter Network, be sure to select your Fuel Line of Credit when completing the fuel reservation.
