Having trouble logging in or accessing the loadboard? Here are the most common causes and fixes — most can be resolved without contacting support.
1. Check your carrier verification status
Loadboard access requires a verified carrier identity. If you're seeing an error about missing access after signing up or paying, this is the most common cause.
To check your status: go to Home tab → My Account → Verify My Carrier Identity.
Status | What to do |
Unverified | Begin verification by uploading your Certificate of Authority and/or W-9. See How to Verify your Carrier Identity. |
Pending | Your documents are under review — allow up to 24 hours. No action needed. |
Needs Attention | Check the email associated with your TruckSmarter account for instructions on resubmitting documents. |
Verified | You're verified — try force-closing and reopening the app (see step 2 below). |
2. Force-close and reopen the app
A stale app session can cause access errors even when your account is in good standing. Fully closing and reopening TruckSmarter fixes most of these.
iOS: Swipe up from the bottom to see open apps, swipe TruckSmarter upward to close it, then reopen from your home screen.
Android: Tap the Recent Apps button, swipe TruckSmarter away, then reopen from your app drawer.
3. Check your subscription
Some features require an active subscription. Go to My Account → Subscription to confirm your payment processed successfully. If your payment failed, you'll see an option to update your payment method and retry.
4. MFA / two-factor authentication issues
If you're not receiving your MFA code:
Check that your phone number or email on file is correct under My Account → Profile.
Check your spam or junk folder if the code was sent by email.
Wait 60 seconds before requesting a new code — codes expire quickly.
Make sure your device has a strong signal or Wi-Fi connection.
