What is a DOT Duplication error?
When you sign up for TruckSmarter Dispatch, our system checks your DOT number against existing accounts. If you see a message about DOT duplication — or receive an email with the subject "Dispatch Onboarding Support Requested - DOT Duplication" — it means your DOT number is already registered in our system.
This is common if:
You or a co-driver previously created a TruckSmarter account with the same DOT number
Your carrier's DOT was registered by someone else at your company
You signed up with a different email address in the past
How to get it resolved
Our support team can look up your account and get you set up quickly. Reply to the email you received (or email [email protected]) with the following two pieces of information:
Your DOT number
The email address you used to sign up
Once we have those details, we'll locate your account and resolve the duplication so you can complete your Dispatch onboarding.
How long does it take?
Most DOT duplication issues are resolved within a few hours during business hours. You'll receive a follow-up email once it's sorted out.
